Firstly I have to apologise for being away from the blog for over a week
. We had some pretty big things happen which made it hard for me to blog. Firstly we had some silly person at the exchange unplug our internet! It tok 4 days for them to reconnect it!
My hubby also had a car accident, he and all others involved were fine but our car was written off
. It is our only family car so we have been very creative with ways of getting around, such as public transport and leaning on family for getting lifts places. So I have been spending alot of time looking for cars online in the hope that we will find a replacement very soon as we will be in a little trouble next week when school holidays are over and I need to recommence the Kinder run again
.
SO I have missed many days in my give aways. So how can I make it up to you? well I am going to do a BIG giveaway!
I have a new newsletter coming out tomorrow for the month of October and would love to have you and your friends on my newsletter list. My newsletter contains offers and specials that are not featured on my blog so the only way you can be privy to them is if you sign up to recieve my newsletter.
Here is how you can win the giveaway!
Email me today freddy.2@bigpond.com with the subject header “I would like to sign up to your S.U newsletter” . Then encourage as many friends as possible to sign up also, with them qouting you in their email as the referrer. If you have referred the most people then you will be the winner of the 5 free stamps that I am giving away.
Of course the people you refer can do the same thing, having their friends refer them
a little healthy competition is all good
.
I will leave this competition open until midnight, Thursday 2nd October.
Happy referring everyone

We are off to a 5th birthday party in about 30 mins, so today I crafted and made a birthday card for the birthday girl…

This card uses the All in the Family, Family Favourites, Unfrogettable & A little bit of Happiness Stamp sets. I will complete a post in a day or two explaining how I made this card. In the meantime I will leave it there as I can hear that my children are not cleaning up as I have asked but instead making more mess *sigh*
Todays stamp goes to the person who can correctly guess what i have used to colour in the little girl, balloons and to stamp the flowers along the bottom!

I haven’t forgotten about my blog and you girls
but the day has run away from me today. It started as I left home at 7.30am this morning and then have only now got home (4.15pm). I managed to drop into work today and show off Ashton and recieved some lovely flowers and a blue teddy from them all
.
I was just about to start scrapping but then remembered that I need to ring around to try and get Angel into a Kindergarten for next year…so that is put on hold until tomorrow (as we are off to get Mr9weeks his needles tonight so I wont be home until late
) .
Todays stamp can be won by sharing with me a layout or card that you have made featuring flowers
.

My oldest child Kaeden celebrated his 5th Birthday two weeks ago by having a bowling party with his friends. He was so excited before hand and had told everyone at his Kindergarten that they were going to come to his party. The teachers found it amusing
. In reality though he knew that he had the opportunity to invite 4 friends from Kinder to his party.
He was such a shy and quiet boy last year but this year it is like he is a different boy entirely
. He gets along with and plays with all the kids at Kinder and he absolutely adores his teachers. Kaeden has also made some good friends there and had playdates with two of them. So when he had to choose the kids that were coming to his party he chose those boys
. Only one couldn’t make it, but the others had an absolute blast on the day.
I took lots of photos at the party and plan to make up some scrap pages for Kaeden of the party, but also wanted to do something special for him and his little friends. Unfortunately we have just moved and are also building a little out of the area, meaning that the school that his friends are going to attend will not be the same as kaeden will attend next year
. So hopefully this is something they can keep to remind them of their special Kinder friendship

To make this I used Basic Black Card stock folded into three. I then traced a half circle on the paper (using a jar for guidance) and then cut it out to make a 3 fold card. To stamp the images I used the Family Favourites Stamp Set (balloons, Party Hat and Present) inked with Whisper White ink pad. It came out so vibrant on the card
they look terrific. I then wrote the childs name in the top balloons in the middle section of the card.
The paper bands are actually sticker borders (and papers on the below photos) from the Crew Kids Boys – Simply Scrappin’ Set.

This is the back of the card..or front whichever stage it is in. On the blue section I have written a thankyou note to his friends that he will sign. There are magnets on both the end pieces.

The above photos show that the two ends fold in on each other so that when the card is presented the front is the blue bubbles with the thankyou message and then it folds open so that it can sit on the fridge open with the photos facing out
.
Tell me about your own bowling experiences for a chance to win todays Free Stamp!

Today has been a busy and draining day with all hopes of stampin’ this afternoon being dashed when Ashton began screaming at 2pm with reflux and the poor baby has barely stopped since
. I am nearly finished a special project I wanted to share but until then here is a card I made earlier in the year but haven’t shared before:

This card actually highlights the terrific effect that is caused when you use Stampin’ Pastels and Blender Pens to colour onto coloured cardstock. See the way the colour of the presents jump right out of the card? it is like magic as when you apply it doesn’t look as though it has coloured yet as it dries it becomes a vibrant colour with the pastel sitting ontop of the card
. Stamps used are Stampin’ round: gifts galore with greetings galore used for the birthday cake which was coloured in using Stampin’ Markers :) .
I will give todays stamp to a random comment left

We were fortunate to have many people visit with gifts or send lovely cards for the birth of Ashton
. I wanted to send out thankyou cards and had pre-ordered (aka, before Ashton’s birth
) the Bundles of joy stamp set in anticipation of creating such cards.
I wanted to incorporate a photo of Ashton onto the card somehow to accompany the stamped images and so this is what I came up with:

It has a magnet on the back
. The lettering was done by tracing around the Die Cut letters, all colouring was done using Stampin’ Markers.
Now I have finally settled said baby I better get back to cooking Dinner
. I will choose a random comment from this post to win todays free stamp

My FIL’s birthday was approaching and he is incredibly hard to buy for! he is the kind of man that really wants for nothing and so with time ticking away we decided to buy him a Tatts pack for a present (and cross our fingers he won the millions
) .
I decided though that he needed a special card to go with it. I had seen wallet cards online but not any templates for one. So here is my version of the wallet card…

Close to Cocoa cardstock, Hodge Podge Brads, Basic Black Marker for faux stitching, Looks Like Spring background stamp stamped with Versamark.

To win todays free incentive stamp link your comment to your blog and share your fathers day cards or creations with me
(i will pull a winner out of a hat from all comments)

Yesterday i was able to go and create with my wonderful downline Liz
and also my wonderful friend Nikki for most of the day. I love our crafting days as we spur each other on to create and the kids love the playtime together too (so everyone is happy
).
I spent so long there in fact that i had just enough time to quickly duck home, pick up my husband and son (who were out ‘working’ all day
) and race to my inlaws for the weekly dinner together…by the time i got home from there and fed the littlest man I promptly fell asleep.
Yet here i sit at 2.50am at the computer, i have been up for 3 hrs so far! Ashton has reflux and I am now waiting for the Mylanta to kick in so he can get some much needed rest (and me too
) , Sick of infomercials
i thought i would pop on and do a post (and pretend it still qualifies for a post for yesterday
lol)
Here is a card I made a little while ago but hadn’t featured on the blog yet
. I believe i used the Sale-A-Brations (special free stamp set during the promotion running demember-february 2007-2008) Merci set as the template for this card.

sewing card
I stamped the butterfly image onto the card using versamark and then sat down in front of the t.v with some bright green thread and a needle and handsewed a zig-zag stitch around the outside and then also sewed over the top of the butterfly image. To finish it off I added the greeting.
Do you have good friends that you stamp with? how often do you get together? Let me know about it
(I will put all comments in a hat and draw out a winner for the free stamp
) .
If you don’t have any groups of friends that you stamp or scrapbook with but would like to start and are not sure how to..i can help you out. Hosting a workshop is the perfect way to get together with your friends for an afternoon or evening of creating. You have the chance to recieve free stamps and stamping dollars (with over $300 in sales) and it could very well be the start of a new, regular get-together that you can continue with your friends and family
. Contact me for more details at: freddy.2@bigpond.com
Well he is just nodding off so I should do that too, unfortunately Kinder run at 8am is going to come around all too soon!

I thought I would pop in quickly while my littlest man is sleeping in with his Dad and share with you the wonderful male cards that were made in last months card swap. I am using some of them for my Fathers Day cards today

If you would like to be involved in my card swaps it is a really simple process. There is a theme each month and you just let me know of your interest to join and I will let you know how many cards you need to make (eg, 5 if that is the amount of people in the swap). You make that amount (and one extra to keep for yourself) and then send them to me along with a stamped Self Addressed envelope and you will recieve back 5 handmade cards from different people
. It is a wonderful way to build up your card supplies, gain ideas for making cards and have some fun.
Just incase you are not convinced yet how great it is here are the cards from the previous month when the theme was baby cards…

This months card swap theme is Christmas. Register your interest in the swap by the end of this week…cards are due to me by the end of September
.
Same deal applies, first to respond wins a free stamp
